I’m back with another promo for Laurel Cremant. If you saw the post on 12.27, you’ll know I think very highly of Laurel, and if you didn’t see the post, for shame and go check it out. Hotness awaits you! But make sure you pay attention today for a sneak peek at another of her new releases. Continue reading

Let’s do this!

I’m snuggled under the covers listening to the faint snores of Sig Other next to me and the raucous barks of the Wonder Dog outside, reflecting on what 2013 has meant to me. In a nutshell it was a fast paced year and I’m happy for my well deserved day of rest. Continue reading

Promo time!

I’ve never done this before on my blog, but when the lovely author Laurel Cremant sent out a request for a little bit of space on a few folks blogs I couldn’t say no. I’m a firm believer in supporting the efforts of my fellow authors and not long ago Laurel was ever so kind to ask me if I’d like to be showcased on her site without any solicitation on my part. Making connections with other authors that understand the pie is big enough for us all to have a slice is invaluable and it doesn’t hurt she writes some pretty sexy prose! Continue reading

Guilty Pleasures

When asked who has guilty pleasures in reading I raise my hand with pride. There are those stories that on the surface make no logical sense and if I placed myself in the shoes of the characters I’d make drastically different choices. The rational part of my brain that keeps me from committing felonies and out of foreign prisons looks at those story lines and thinks, “This is utterly ridiculous”, but there is a part of me, that little mischievous sprite that toys with doing all of those things my rational brain disapproves of, that claps it’s little hands and squeals out “More!”. I am a contradiction like that and when it came time to start on a new project (or complete a forgotten one) I’d latched on to the guiltiest of guilty reading pleasures I enjoy; The Secret Baby Story. Something old, something new…

When I made the switch over to this new site the one thing I regretted was not having a continuity of my journey as a writer. Although I wasn’t that consistent with posting, it was hard to leave those little bits of sharing of self I did behind. Well, with El Club going strong in my neighbors carport across the street and insomnia tagging along for the night I figured I’d put all of this time I had on my hands to good use (because clearly finishing anyone of my WIPs is far to logical) and figure out how to bring the past into my present. Many thanks on this day of thanks

When I was little Thanksgiving was a sandwich holiday. Nestled between the splendor that is Halloween and Christmas. I was happy to have the time off from school and to eat, and even though I listed what I was thankful for (as was the custom in my household) at the dinner table my limited child brain couldn’t comprehend the magnitude of the day. Baubles, Bangles, & Beads

I recently got the rights back to three of my stories from Beautiful Trouble Publishing and instead of letting them collect dust in the virtual shelf of my thumb drive I decided to go the route of self-publishing. This new territory in my writing career was both scaring and daunting but I don’t let fear hold me back…unless there are clowns…but I digress. Continue reading

The writers blues

Recently I’ve been a flurry of creativity and purpose. I’ve completed two stories that had been relegated to the forgotten WIP pile. I’d signed up for NaNoWriMo and have diligently worked on completing another forgotten WIP. Also, I’ve recently received my rights back for three of my stories and began the process of self publishing them. I’ve been on fire and it has been fabulous. Continue reading

I’m filled with the spirit

I decided to throw my hat into the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) fervor and have been pleasantly surprised that I’m doing something. I do try very hard to get a little writing done a day but the days are either too short or I’m too busy and time passes by without my doing any writing. This month I’ve finished a sequel to my paranormal romantic comedy (that is a thing) When Opposites First Attract and finished a WIP that had been sequestered to the pile of forgotten work. I’ve been so good about getting stuff checked off my list I realized I hadn’t started the main novel for NaNoWriMo. I’m odd like that and let my muses lead me until I finally found my way back to where I started. Continue reading
